This site hosts the webcomic Vivisect and an associated wiki curated by the author!
Q: What’s it about?
Vivisect is a weird dark fantasy/steampunk graphic novel series that takes place in the aftermath of a decade long war that began with the empire of Grand Xirrus consumed by a sinkhole. The nation falling through the earth and into hell. We follow a mysterious, isolated, and hardly innocent survivor in a desperate struggle to reach the outside world and deliver a message they might accept from anyone but her.
Q: When does the comic update?
Vivisect is produced graphic novel style, and releases here on a chapter-by-chapter basis for free. The prologue and chapter 1 will be released here in two bulk chunks. If you want to keep up with in progress shots, read along page-by-page releases, and participate in other community events, please consider supporting development on Patreon. Promotional content and the wiki will be updated more erratically as lore gets written and I attend physical events.
Q: Are things still under construction here?
Yes, for anybody here super early, first, happy to have you! second, you’ll unfortunately have to bear with frequent updates to the website between now and early August 2025 as I put all this stuff together.
Q: Do I need to read the wiki in order to understand what’s going on?
No. Everything presented outside the pages of the book is supplemental lore, worldbuilding, and flavor text. Though if you don’t read it, you’ll miss out on feeling like a smart cookie later for divining future events. Be warned that the words of the great crow are spoken through many mouths and penned by every hand. They bear no concept of chronological time, and no distinction between truth and lie.
